Plot summary. Yuki Kuran. In the final chapter, it was revealed that Yuki had a daughter with him, whom gives him a message with her half-sibling child of Zero and Yuki from Yuki their mother to Kaname that said, "I want to give to you, whom I love, the world that I saw when I was a human".
As Yuki gives her life to turn Kaname human, she reflects, "The long and endless journey You, who existed with that thirst, may your thirst be quenched.
One could say that they are arch nemesis of one another due to different perspectives and methods. They both show very strong feelings towards Yuki and envies each other from time to time. Due to this, they also share a limited amount of tolerance to one another when Yuki's safety is concerned. Main article: Kaname and the Hooded woman The Hooded Woman The Hooded Woman, also known as the Ancestress, was a progenitor from Kaname's ancient past and was the leader of a resistance. The Hooded Woman was the one who gave him a name with the same spelling of her hometown and a purpose- to eradicate all Purebloods who harbors the intent of turning humans into submissive slaves.
She shared her past and ideals with Kaname, telling him that she really liked humans. It was also shown in his memories that he was a scientist for a period of time as he researched for a way to kill Purebloods.
In those memories, it was revealed that she had some kind of authority over Kaname, as he allowed her to push him around to get jobs done. She became the first parent of the anti-vampire weapons after she threw her heart into the furnace. Her death devastated Kaname silently, as he intended to be the sacrifice. In her name, Kaname fought the Purebloods for decades, slowly losing his will to live and emotions as he felt that the weapons only desired to kill more vampires.
When the battles ceased, he decided to enter a slumber that he had no intention of ever awakening from. Main article: Kaname and Takuma Kaname lived with Takuma after his "parents" death and since then they have become great friends. It would seem that Kaname trusts Takuma to a certain extent and seems not to worry about him, despite Takuma's affiliation with Sara.
After Kaname was encased with ice, Takuma watches over his tomb for a thousand years. Their relationship is quite comedic and purely adoration in Aido's perspective. However, this relationship was shattered when Kaname murdered Hanabusa's father Nagamichi Aido in front of him. After this act, Hanabusa remained at Yuki's side as her guard and tutor, eventually renouncing Kaname as his leader when he sent Ruka and Akatsuki to suppress the Day Class.
Hanabusa stated that he wouldn't let the Pureblood do as he wish and take advantage of Yuki's kind-hearted nature. However, later in the manga, it shows that Kaname never killed his father and he only went into a slumber. Hanabusa reconnected with his father and came back to Kaname's side after he understood Kaname's true intentions. Despite this, Kaname trusts and respects Ruka. Kaname described Ruka, Akatsuki, and Hanabusa as "pawns" to be used to protect Yuki, but even after he said that the three decided to follow Kaname and Yuki.
Unlike Aido, Ruka has been respecting Kaname since the first time she laid her eyes on him. It is also explicit that Kaname and Akatsuki had an agreement that when the time comes, Ruka would leave Kaname's side by force if necessary. Kaname greatly trusts her and sometimes relies on her to obtain valuable information. To show her gratitude for him saving her life when she was a human child, she trained in martial arts. Seiren is known to be one of the only people apart from Yuki to be aware of Kaname's true nature.
Haruka and Juri Kuran raised Kaname as Yuki's brother, in place of the son that Rido took and used as a sacrifice to revive Kaname. Kaname and Yuki planned to marry as children, following the example of Haruka and Juri, who were also siblings and married. Kaname convinces Zero to drink his blood to stave off insanity, slowing Zero's descent to a Level E vampire. He reveals that he has been preparing and strengthening Zero so that he can kill Rido and free Kaname from Rido's curse so that he can protect Yuki for himself not relying on Zero or some of the Night Class students.
Her refusal to leave upsets Kaname, but she kisses him in order to console him and convinces Kaname to go do the things that only he can do. Kaname went to the Vampire Council, where he summoned the Vampire Council members and killed all of them except Asato Ichijo, whom he trusted Takuma to deal with. Kaname returns to Yuki's side and attacks Zero for pointing his gun at Yuki, he reverses his decision to kill him when he realizes Yuki will not forgive him for it.
After their goodbye, Yuki and Kaname return to the Kuran mansion via a hidden entrance. During the time skip, Yuki does not leave the mansion for a year while Kaname frequently leaves to resolve the issues of the Vampire Society and working to regain his allies.
Kaname is acknowledged as the leader of the Vampire Society and he meets with the Vampire Hunters Association and they agree to resume their agreement. Kaname holds a ball and finds himself confronting Sara Shirabuki there. The party is disrupted by the death of a Pureblood vampire and a hunter.
Kaname investigates and presents a cover story of suicide. Upon returning home, he declares that he will take over Yuki's education, he advises Yuki about the Purebloods and impresses upon her. Kaname spends most of his time in a hidden place inside the Kuran mansion.
It is revealed that a remnant of Rido exists because he stills has a link through Kaname. Dialogue so bad, you have to wonder if the writers have ever heard a real conversation. Makes no use of the human-vampire school premise. He had tried many times to make her fall in love with him, only for her to fall in love with his younger brother, Haruka.
That would have had a negative effect on his already unstable mind. Zero lives with Kaien Cross and Yuki, after being bitten by a Pureblood vampire, Shizuka Hio, who also murdered his family.
Together, they have a daughter named Ai Kuran. When Yuki walk into the Night Dormitory to speak to Kaname, Hanabusa shows that he holds hatred and jealousy towards Yuki.
This is due to her favouritism by Kaname Kuran when she is nothing but a simple human. She is a former student and Guardian of Cross Academy. Yuki does live to be over a thousand years old, but dies giving her heart to Kaname to turn him into a human, as his body was preserved in a coffin of ice created by Aido until he could create a cure for vampirism.
Alucard is no mere vampire; it has been implied that he is the most powerful vampire alive and may be the most powerful character in the series, rivaled only by The Captain and Alexander Anderson. Kaname is their ancestor and one of the founders of Kuran family. So he is her adopted brother.
